a bright spot

In preparation for Brad's dad's memorial service on Friday I had to run some errands today... Katelyn and I both needed new shoes, etc.  Since Katelyn threw up yesterday afternoon, she couldn't go to school today even though she felt all right.  So I took her shopping instead. Yes, she infected several pairs of shoes at Payless and Nordstrom.  She got a haircut too - just a trim. While we were at the mall, she asked to go to Claire's. I told her I was feeling generous so she picked out some lipgloss.  While we were browsing for the perfect item to purchase, she looked up and said, "This store makes me giddy!"  It was so cute.  My little girl is growing up!
