With all that has gone on over the last couple of months, my blog post dedicated to Katelyn to wish her "Happy Birthday" fell by the wayside. Her 7th birthday was on February 13th.
Katelyn is a dear. It's easy to see why the Lord put her in our family. Her sweet spirit and compassion is just what the rest of us type As need. When she was a toddler, I made a scrapbook page that listed her personality traits at the time. Much of it remains the same:
sweet and gentle
reserved
happy
laughs a lot
sensitive
loves to cuddle
favorite activities: reading, singing, coloring, playing with Mommy's make up (and she doesn't make a mess)
favorite toys: baby dolls (she's graduated to American Girl dolls), dress up clothes (now she just likes to wear fancy clothes every day)
Daddy's girl
loves to be at home
Katelyn, Daddy and I are so thankful to the Lord for giving to us you as a gift. He leant you to us to raise but you are his child. We are proud of you and love you very much. What a privilege and honor it is to be your parents. You bring us so much joy.
Here are a few pics from your "mock slumber party." The 5 little girls wore matching pjs, played games, had their nails painted and ate pizza and cupcakes. It was fun!
Katelyn and Chloe Wright. Chloe lives on our street and we've known the Wrights for about 9 years.
