Marriage Weekend Getaway

Do you know about the Family Life Marriage Weekend Getaways?  All over the country Family Life holds weekend getaways for engaged and married couples.  Both sets of parents required Brad and I to attend when we were engaged and we were strongly encouraged to attend after marriage.  We did and we've been once more and we're going again next month.  Whether your marriage is on the verge of divorce, blissful or somewhere inbetween, this getaway is for you!  I mean that.  Each time we go, Brad and I gleen something that we need to work on or change.

The getaway is very well done.  Speakers share from God's Word how God intended for marriage to be.  They explain God's design for marriage and share with you their struggles and struggles others have had.  It's always encouraging to Brad and me to know our struggles are no unique to our marriage.  On Saturday night they encourage you to go on a date; just the two of you.  Now when was the last time you dated your spouse?  No children, no work, no phones, no interruptions?

Brad's parents were the DFW city directors for many years. His precious mother is going to serve again this year. Please pray for her and us as we attend the conference this year; it will be difficult for all of us without Skip.

free trees

when joining the Arbor Day Foundation for $10 by clicking here, you will receive 10 trees. You can choose to have them shipped to you in the appropriate planting season or you can elect to send the trees to another address, perhaps a friend.  You select the type of trees you want (flowering, etc.) and they arrive 6"-12" in height.

I don't consider myself "green" but you can't go wrong at $1 per tree!!!
