This year each child in Kirsten's class has a chance to be the Spotlight Student for one week. This week is Kirsten's turn. Our little girl who LOVES the spotlight was thrilled to be The Spotlight Student. She is most excited to be the line leader all week.
She had to take several things with her today so her class can get to know her better.
1. A brown lunch sack filled with 5 things from home. These can be something you collect, a hobby, etc. Kirsten took her stuffed dolphin (she loves stuffed animals and her favorite animal is a dolphin), a seashell (she loves the beach and collects seashells), her diary because she thinks is so exciting that no one can read her diary but her), her gymnastics medal from the class she took when we lived in NJ, and a photo of our family that we took in a photobooth at Gattitown (her favorite place on earth).
2. She also took photos of herself swimming, buried in the sand on the beach in Florida, playing on the monkey bars in our backyard, our family, as a baby hooked up to all those tubes after heart surgery, and a few others.
3. Her favorite book that her teacher will read to the class: Flushed Away
4. And lastly a letter about Kirsten to her class in a sealed envelope from Brad and me.
Here is a copy of the letter we wrote:
